Is heartworm serious?
Yes if your pet is bitten by an infected mosquito the worm travels to the heart and causes heart failure which if untreated can be fatal. Heartworm tablets should be given monthly all year round. Heartworm products are available in our online shop.
How often do I worm my pets?
Puppies and kittens should be wormed every 2 weeks till 4 months of age.then monthly till 6 months of age. From then on all pets should be wormed every three months. Worm tablets are available in our online shop.
What is the best age to desex my pet?
It is best to desex your pet at around 5 months of age before it comes into season.
Do I vaccinate my pet?
Yes,it is very important to vaccinate puppies and kittens and also to have booster vaccines for your older pets. Check with your vet for the correct vaccines your pet will need and how frequently you will need boosters.
What do I feed my pet?
I recommend using premium dog and cat foods,the expense incurred by using quality food is offset by what you will save in vet bills as your pet will be more healthy.
